Samsung to launch modified Galaxy tablet

Samsung Electronics, said it would launch a redesigned version of its 10.1-inch model Galaxy Tab in Germany as early as this week to avoid a ban on the sale of the tablet, a German court said it violated Apple's patents. "

For sales in Germany Samsung has changed the design of the framework of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 model and the location of the caller, and changed the name of "Galaxy Tab 10.1 N," said a spokesman for Samsung Electronics.

"We modified the model to reflect Apple's claims," the spokesman said.

Apple and Samsung have been involved in a legal battle around the world since Apple sued Samsung in the United States in April, saying the company's online Galaxy South Korean mobile phone and a tablet of "slavish" copying iPhone and iPad.

Apple has scored precautionary measures against some Samsung products in Germany, Australia and the Netherlands, and also tries to block sales of the Samsung models in the United States, the key battleground smarpthones and Tablet PCs.

Last month, Samsung will also be forced to upgrade three of its smartphones to get around the ban on temporary sales in previous versions of products that a Dutch court said that Apple violated a patent.

An Australian court accepted the appeal of Samsung Electronics fast track against the ban on the sale of its new Galaxy tablet computer in the country.

Samsung Electronics unveiled last month to ban sales of the iPhone 4S Apple Australia and Japan, following similar measures in France and Italy.
